Koepenick Prison

The four-story prison wing, which is no longer used today, is connected to the court house. The prison was the scene of the Köpenicker Blutwoche in June 1933, when the SA confiscated the prison and hundreds of citizens of Köpenick, partly Jewish faith, partly politically unpopular, colluded, tortured and executed 23 of them. A memorial in the prison wing reminds today of these events.
